Best wishes to all of you visiting our website or reading this as an email. Our hope is that all of you have coped with anything this lockdown period may have thrown at you and above all that you and your loved ones have remained safe and well. Please be assured that our thoughts and sympathies are with any who may have experienced sadness or bereavement in this time.

But now, as Lockdown is being eased and we can start to adapt to a new ‘normal’ in relation to your ongoing eyecare?

The most recent guidance is that we will be able to open for sales of new spectacles, sunglasses etc no earlier than 1st June and for routine eye care consultations no earlier than 4th July. And then only if adequate safeguards are in place.

To ensure that we meet these requirements the following preparations are being made:

All staff will have appropriate PPE and we will invite you to come along with your own masks and gloves, but do not worry we have a more than adequate supply for you here.

Perspex screens will protect the reception and dispensing areas and where appropriate will be fitted to instruments in the consulting room.

We have invested in UVC sterilising units to ensure that any frames you try on or equipment pieces we use will be completely safe.

A number of hand sterilisation stations will be placed around the practice.

Until otherwise advised, all visits to the practice will need to be by appointment including repairs, collections and adjustments.

I trust that despite all these necessary changes you will still be very aware of the continuing individual care that all of us at Bridle EyeCare gives to each and every one of our patients.

In the meantime, as we have been throughout lockdown, the practice is staffed from 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

We are available for repairs, new orders, contact lenses, eyedrops etc, for any URGENT OR EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS and for any phone consultations.

We can be contacted on 0118 9302 312 OR 07375 936 008 or

Stay safe, keep happy and we look forward to seeing you back in Bridle EyeCare before too long.
